The title of the event (Start ME Up!) was discovered by combining these core elements of the experience. Art, media, and entertainment are represented through the lettering—"st art m e," with a metaphoric connection between «starting» your career and going «up» from there. Because this conference was focused on the creative cluster, we chose to illustrate the winding path that begins first with putting that pencil to paper as an applicant for a creative program.
Branding was clean and to-the-point, helping to reinforce to all parents that this career is a viable and exciting opportunity for lifelong employment, not simply a flight of fancy. A pencil in motion is grounded, definitive, and full of possibility — just like a creative career. We’re proof!

Design for us has been a long and winding road that has given back at every turn. It was a perfect fit when we were asked to brand a two-day conference geared towards high school students considering a creative career of their own in arts, media, or entertainment.
