Judo

About

The Judo software platform offers marketers and designers an intuitive and flexible platform for building in-app content with no code. Our job was to brand Judo with a compelling visual identity in turn. The challenge was to design a beautiful brand and a website for other designers.

Approach

After an intensive research and discovery process guided both towards understanding the client’s brand image, product, and the design expectations of the market, we created a series of concepts that could serve both as a logo and an app icon. It was essential that the final project would not be confused with martial arts, and a multitool was eventually chosen to represent the limitless potential of Judo for customers—representing both the suite of design and development tools in one place.

To show the project in action, we designed a fictional lifestyle application in a style complementary to Judo’s brand. Illustrative fragments of the app were integrated alongside website copy to display the functionality and benefits of the Judo platform. These graphics required an intimate understanding of the app, as our team had to illustrate compelling experiences that were achievable within the platform.

Results

The Judo team has set themselves apart as a leader in the mobile no-code developer tools space for marketers and designers alike and has had significant community success with their design and rebranding. The product was featured on the Product Hunt, and to this day we continue to work with Judo on their new challenges.
